I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at Sydney General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a specialist standing frame. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $7,800. My current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 5 weeks. With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $7,800 goes: • specialist standing frame: $7,000 • Fitting and training sessions: $155 • Delivery and set-up: $210 • First-year servicing plan: $435 Thanks for reading all this. - Aaron

Updates from Aaron

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($4,367 in total) we've started the first stage. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  2. Wanted to say thank you properly. 43% funded and the plan for first-year servicing plan is now scheduled.

  3. Small update. $1,270 so far, I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. specialist standing frame comes first ($7,000) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Thanks, that means a lot.
