A solar-powered water pump for the Union health centre yard: help our neighbors in Belfast
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $2,050 for materials.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 11 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $440, and the remaining cost is $2,050.
It will serve about 485 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $2,050 goes:
• Materials: $1,250
• Permits and inspections: $330
• Safety equipment and signage: $350
• Tools hire and delivery: $120
