A solar-powered water pump for the Pioneer vacant lot: help our neighbors in Gujranwala

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 587 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in August and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $210 • Permits and inspections: $50 • Safety equipment and signage: $30 • Tools hire and delivery: $60 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself. - Zainab
