Let's build a repair café workshop together in Boulogne-Billancourt
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $1,950 for materials.
🇫🇷 Boulogne-Billancourt, Île-de-France, France2,668 views
For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 12 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Freedom Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $1,950.
It will serve about 85 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Materials: $1,100
• Permits and inspections: $165
• Safety equipment and signage: $320
• Tools hire and delivery: $365
Every share and every dollar helps.

Thinking of you, Laura. Great idea, hope you get there. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Blessings.
projects like this are what make a place worth living in. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
it takes guts to ask. Well done. Sent it to 31 people at work. Take care.
