A solar-powered water pump for Acacia Primary School: help our neighbors in Oakland
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $2,300 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 23 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $340, and the remaining cost is $2,300.
It will serve about 543 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,300 goes:
• Materials: $1,250
• Permits and inspections: $200
• Safety equipment and signage: $220
• Tools hire and delivery: $630
