A solar-powered water pump: a volunteer-led effort in Jakarta Selatan
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a solar-powered water pump - we need $450 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 16 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Unity bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 245 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $290
• Permits and inspections: $55
• Safety equipment and signage: $80
• Tools hire and delivery: $25
With deep gratitude,
Sinta

Wishing you the best. Hope the build day goes well, wish I lived closer. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Take care.
