Maria's thyroid cancer treatment fund
Maria is facing thyroid cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Maria was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in January. The oncology team at Maringá Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks.
Maria is 52, worked as a bakery worker until January, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Maringá Regional Medical Center 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,350
• Household costs while unable to work: $290
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $160
