For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a solar-powered water pump. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Primary School, but no funding. We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $700. It will serve about 163 people, including local farmers and market traders. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $700 goes: • Materials: $590 • Permits and inspections: $20 • Safety equipment and signage: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $40 Glad we found this place. - Andi
