A community-led a skate park at the Freedom health centre yard that will serve 234 neighbors.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Freedom health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $750.
It will serve about 234 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $750 goes:
• Materials: $680
• Safety equipment and signage: $55
• Permits and inspections: $15
