A skate park: a volunteer-led effort in Nashik
A community-led a skate park at Unity Park that will serve 401 neighbors.

For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a skate park. This year a group of 9 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Unity Park, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $85, and the remaining cost is $450.
It will serve about 401 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $450 goes:
• Materials: $350
• Permits and inspections: $40
• Safety equipment and signage: $20
• Tools hire and delivery: $40

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. materials comes first ($350) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Let me know if you want more detail.
