A service dog for Peyton, an air force veteran in Manchester
After six years of service, Peyton is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served six years in the air force and was discharged in 2025 with a back injury. I have been waiting nine months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $3,700.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $3,700 goes:
• Training provider fees: $1,850
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,000
• Transport to appointments: $360
• Essential household items: $490
Thank you so much.

Updates from Peyton
Good news. Because of your gifts ($976 in total) I made the first payment toward transport to appointments. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. God bless!
You're not alone, Peyton. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Thinking of Manchester.
so sorry you're going through this. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
Sending strength. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 26 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Thinking of Manchester.
