A service dog for Mathilda, an infantry veteran in Munich
Mathilda served fourteen years in the infantry; $2,500 would cover a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served fourteen years in the infantry and was discharged in 2025 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $2,500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Essential household items: $290
• Transport to appointments: $400
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,810

hang in there, Mathilda. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. All the best
you're not alone. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
how is Mathilda doing now?
shared it with a few friends. Greetings from Chattogram
Thinking of you. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Munich
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Greetings from Rochester.
Thinking of you, Mathilda. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Munich!
