Marilyn served ten years in the navy; $4,900 would cover a first month of rent and transport to job interviews.

I served ten years in the navy and was discharged in 2025 with a back injury. I have been waiting fourteen months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $4,900.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $4,900 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $2,050
• Training provider fees: $2,500
• Essential household items: $350
I hope life is good to you.

Sending love, Marilyn. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't give up. Thinking of Baton Rouge!
