A service dog for Mahin, an air force veteran in New Delhi
An air force veteran in New Delhi needs help with a first month of rent and transport to job interviews after leaving service with a service-related knee injury.

I served fourteen years in the air force and was discharged in 2024 with a service-related knee injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a first month of rent and transport to job interviews. The quote I have comes to $800.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $800 goes:
• Training provider fees: $400
• Housing deposit and first month: $310
• Transport to appointments: $55
• Essential household items: $35
Every share and every dollar helps.

Good news. Because of your gifts ($75 in total) I made the first payment toward essential household items. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
