A service dog for Jessica, an air force veteran in Dortmund
An air force veteran in Dortmund needs help with a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment after leaving service with a traumatic brain injury.

I served twelve years in the air force and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $1,500.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
Money will be paid to the training provider and the landlord directly.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Housing deposit and first month: $920
• Transport to appointments: $390
• Essential household items: $190
Glad we found this place.

Best of luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Mohammedia donated after I showed her your page.
Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Dortmund
Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Love from Ikeja.
