A service dog for Arnel, an engineering corps veteran in Fresno
After fourteen years of service, Arnel is raising funds for a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment.

I served fourteen years in the engineering corps and was discharged in 2022 with post-traumatic stress. I have been waiting eleven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a deposit on a one-bedroom apartment. The quote I have comes to $5,200.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $5,200 goes:
• Training provider fees: $2,950
• Housing deposit and first month: $1,450
• Transport to appointments: $550
• Essential household items: $250
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
Updates from Arnel
72% there. I met with the provider and confirmed the amounts. Thank you.
Quick update: $3,180 raised so far (61%). we've started the first stage. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Thank you all. We're at 15% now ($770). I'm honestly stunned. the first invoice got paid this week.
