A weekly visit for Maksym, 78, who lives alone in Kharkiv
An hour a week, a chat, and a cup of tea - that's all Maksym is asking for.

I'm writing for my neighbor Maksym, who's 78. Maksym lives alone in Kharkiv, and lost a son last year. The nearest family lives 422 kilometers away.
Maksym loves chess, and would enjoy someone to chat with. An hour a week, perhaps on Friday afternoon, would mean the world. We can also arrange a phone call if you can't visit in person.
All visitors will be introduced by me and I'll be there at the first meeting. I'll share references and, if you'd like, a short orientation from the local befriending charity.
No special skills are needed - just kindness and patience.
I hope life is good to you.

rooting for you. Wishing Maksym a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. God bless.

Take care. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best

Best of luck. Looking forward to the next update. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.
You're not alone. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick
keep going, Artem. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My neighbor in Manila donated after I showed her your page
Keep going, Artem. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Blessings.
