Volunteers in Nakuru are raising $800 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Cedar health centre yard.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 25 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Cedar health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 262 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Materials: $610
• Permits and inspections: $70
• Safety equipment and signage: $40
• Tools hire and delivery: $80

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. materials is the biggest at $610. I'll keep the page updated.
