A sensory garden for children with autism for the Baobab vacant lot: help our neighbors in Peshawar
Volunteers in Peshawar are raising $200 for a sensory garden for children with autism at the Baobab vacant lot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $200.
It will serve about 545 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $200 goes:
• Materials: $110
• Permits and inspections: $15
• Safety equipment and signage: $15
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Thank you so much.
