A ramp for Henry: volunteers and tools needed
Help Henry regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Nigeria1,285 views
Henry has used a wheelchair since 2025, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Henry can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the accessibility guideline for gradient, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate eight hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Henry's family will cook lunch for the team.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Best of luck, Seyi. Shared it with a few friends.
Hope things get better soon. Your post was clear and honest. My husband and I read this together.
Sending good thoughts, Seyi. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. God bless.
Praying for you. Wishing Henry a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We're a small family in Greensboro but we're thinking of you. Love from Greensboro.
