Embakasi
For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a sensory garden for children with autism. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Liberty Park, but no funding. We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 259 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $200 goes: • Permits and inspections: $50 • Tools hire and delivery: $85 • Safety equipment and signage: $65 I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

          • Sending good thoughts. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Greetings from Kisumu
