My son Joshua has been accepted for treatment at Rochester Transplant Centre in Rochester, starting on Thursday in September. We live 504 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Joshua and me. We can contribute $135 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Joshua will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Sending love. Hope this works out for you. After 29 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
