Tumusiime was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in March. The surgeon at Kinondoni Orthopedic Institute recommended laparoscopic cyst removal, and He is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,300, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $900 short.
