Looking for a host or low-cost room within 30 minutes of Rio de Janeiro University Hospital.

My son Tiago has been accepted for treatment at Rio de Janeiro University Hospital in Rio de Janeiro, starting on Wednesday in February. We live 426 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself.
We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 6 weeks. Two of us would stay: Tiago and me. We can contribute $30 a week and cook for the household if you'd like.
Tiago will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you.
