My husband Venkatesh has been accepted for treatment at Noida Transplant Centre in Noida, starting on Tuesday in June. We live 375 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 3 weeks. Two of us would stay: Venkatesh and me. We can contribute $15 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Venkatesh will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. I hope life is good to you.

        • Thinking of you and your family, Aravind. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Berlin.

          • So sorry you're going through this, Aravind. Get well soon. After 12 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything

            • Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Angeles

              • sending love, Aravind. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We're a small family in San Diego but we're thinking of you

                      • So sorry you're going through this. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Take care.

                        • Thanks for sharing this, Aravind. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
