Surgery fund for Gilbert: septoplasty in Makati

Gilbert was diagnosed with severe cataracts in both eyes in January. The surgeon at Makati Orthopedic Institute recommended septoplasty, and He is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,650, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $1,250 short.
my father has been in and out of Makati Orthopedic Institute since January. The doctors say severe cataracts in both eyes will get worse without septoplasty. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,650 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Gilbert struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 12 weeks. During that time Gilbert won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
