A ride from Dar es Salaam to a larger city two hours away for Florence's new job

Florence has a job waiting in a larger city two hours away but can't afford the move; a lift, shared van or spare seat would solve it.

I have been offered a job in a larger city two hours away, starting on Sunday in September. I can't afford the bus and the 6 boxes I need to carry with me, and moving costs are beyond my means. If you or someone you know is driving between Dar es Salaam and a larger city two hours away, I'd love to share the journey, and I can cover fuel. If you have a van and a free day, even better. I'm quiet, punctual and travel light. I have a reference from my last employer and from the person I'll be renting from in a larger city two hours away. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Wishing you peace, Florence. Hope you make a strong comeback. I went through something like this 4 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Dar es Salaam!

    • So sorry you're going through this, Florence. Your post was clear and honest. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

      • Hope things get better soon. This could happen to any of us. My neighbor in Fez donated after I showed her your page. Love from Fez.

        • Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you.

          • So sorry you're going through this, Florence. I hope things turn around soon. Love from Riverside.
