A repair café workshop for the Pioneer vacant lot: help our neighbors in Abuja

We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $350 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 29 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Pioneer vacant lot, but no funding. We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $180, and the remaining cost is $350. It will serve about 366 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in October and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance. Where the $350 goes: • Materials: $210 • Permits and inspections: $55 • Safety equipment and signage: $35 • Tools hire and delivery: $50 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
