Back-to-school fund for Sinan
Sinan won a place at Üsküdar Girls' High School but the family cannot afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Year 11 at Üsküdar Girls' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the mathematics course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $100, which is more than we have.
I love mathematics and want to become a nurse. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $100 goes:
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $20
• School uniform and shoes: $60
• Textbooks and workbooks: $20
Thanks for reading all this.

Is there anything that isn't money that would help Sinan?
Thank you. If you're in Üsküdar I'll say if something practical comes up. For now sharing this is great. Thanks for asking.
Hope it all works out, Sinan. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We're a small family in Poitiers but we're thinking of you.
how is Sinan doing now?
Take care, Sinan. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Üsküdar.
hope things get better soon. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Hope it all works out. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Stockholm but we're thinking of you.
Wishing you the best. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. My neighbor in Sapporo donated after I showed her your page. Take care.
