A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Sydney
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a repair café workshop - we need $3,250 for materials.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 19 volunteers, including the parish youth group, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Union vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $3,250.
It will serve about 155 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $3,250 goes:
• Materials: $2,450
• Permits and inspections: $360
• Safety equipment and signage: $440
