A rainwater harvesting system for the Liberty vacant lot: help our neighbors in Muzaffarpur
Volunteers in Muzaffarpur are raising $400 for a rainwater harvesting system at the Liberty vacant lot.

For ten years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 17 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Liberty vacant lot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $400.
It will serve about 464 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $400 goes:
• Materials: $300
• Tools hire and delivery: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $65
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Wishing you peace. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
