Envigado
For eight years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including the neighborhood football club, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Sycamore community hall, but no funding. We have received donated timber, and the remaining cost is $200. It will serve about 551 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited. We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos. Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered. Where the $200 goes: • Permits and inspections: $60 • Safety equipment and signage: $125 • Tools hire and delivery: $15 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.
