A prosthetic leg for Nicolás: help Nicolás move freely
Nicolás needs a prosthetic leg that the health system won't fund; the cost is $850.

Nicolás lives with profound hearing loss. The occupational therapist at the Coyoacán Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $850.
His current equipment is 14 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 5 weeks.
With the right equipment Nicolás could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $850 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $660
• Fitting and training sessions: $40
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $120
Thank you so much.

Sending good thoughts. I hope things turn around soon. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Thinking of Coyoacán.
