Kim lives with a rare neuromuscular condition. The occupational therapist at Nha Trang General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,300.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Kim could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,200
• Fitting and training sessions: $45
• Delivery and set-up: $30
• First-year servicing plan: $25
