A prosthetic leg for Iris: help Iris move freely
A prosthetic leg would give Iris independence - we're $5,800 away.
🇳🇱 Netherlands1,465 views
Iris lives with multiple sclerosis. The occupational therapist at Breda General Hospital has assessed her and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $5,800.
Her current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 4 weeks.
With the right equipment Iris could speak with the people around her. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $5,800 goes:
• Fitting and training sessions: $115
• First-year servicing plan: $195
• prosthetic leg: $5,490
