Giang lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Hồ Chí Minh City General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $550. His current equipment is 10 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 4 weeks. With the right equipment Giang could speak with the people around him. It would change everyday life for the whole family. We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest. Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing. Where the $550 goes: • Delivery and set-up: $10 • prosthetic leg: $510 • First-year servicing plan: $30 Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
