A prosthetic leg for Atim: help me move freely
A prosthetic leg would give Atim independence - we're $1,050 away.

I live with muscular dystrophy. My occupational therapist at the Likoni Rehabilitation Centre has assessed me and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $1,050.
My current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment I could join the school sports day. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $960
• Fitting and training sessions: $35
• Delivery and set-up: $15
• First-year servicing plan: $40
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.
