A prosthetic leg for Adrián: help Adrián move freely
Help Adrián get a prosthetic leg so He can attend work interviews.
🇲🇽 Mexico922 views
Adrián lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at the Monterrey Mobility Clinic has assessed him and recommended a prosthetic leg. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $2,000.
His current equipment is 15 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 12 weeks.
With the right equipment Adrián could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• prosthetic leg: $1,750
• Fitting and training sessions: $65
• Delivery and set-up: $55
• First-year servicing plan: $130
Glad we found this place.
