A powered wheelchair for Oskar: help Oskar move freely
Help Oskar get a powered wheelchair so He can join the school sports day.
Anywhere in the world780 views
Oskar lives with low vision from retinitis pigmentosa. The occupational therapist at Leipzig General Hospital has assessed him and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $500.
His current equipment is 13 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined him to home for 8 weeks.
With the right equipment Oskar could join the school sports day. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $500 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $240
• Fitting and training sessions: $190
• Delivery and set-up: $70
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
