I live with multiple sclerosis. My occupational therapist at Onitsha General Hospital has assessed me and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $400.
My current equipment is 8 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined me to home for 3 weeks.
With the right equipment I could attend work interviews. It would change my everyday life and my ability to work from home.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
I'll pay the supplier directly from the funds, and I'll post a photo once the equipment is delivered.
Where the $400 goes:
• powered wheelchair: $300
• Fitting and training sessions: $30
• Delivery and set-up: $10
• First-year servicing plan: $60

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Ebuka.
Sure. The biggest one is powered wheelchair, $300. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Thanks for asking.
