A community fridge: a volunteer-led effort in Epe
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a community fridge - we need $500 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a community fridge. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Liberty bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $500.
It will serve about 491 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in June and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $500 goes:
β’ Materials: $370
β’ Permits and inspections: $45
β’ Safety equipment and signage: $25
β’ Tools hire and delivery: $60
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
