A powered wheelchair for Corazon: help Corazon move freely
Corazon needs a powered wheelchair that the health system won't fund; the cost is $150.
🇵🇭 Metro Manila, Philippines303 views
Corazon lives with an amputation below the knee. The occupational therapist at the Manila Mobility Clinic has assessed her and recommended a powered wheelchair. The public scheme doesn't cover it, and the quote from the supplier is $150.
Her current equipment is 11 years old and keeps breaking, which has confined her to home for 6 weeks.
With the right equipment Corazon could attend work interviews. It would change everyday life for the whole family.
We've applied to two charities already and received small contributions; this campaign covers the rest.
Funds go toward the equipment, delivery, fitting and a year of servicing.
Where the $150 goes:
• First-year servicing plan: $70
• Delivery and set-up: $20
• Fitting and training sessions: $60
I hope life is good to you.

Thanks for sharing this, Cris. Wishing Corazon a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 28 years in logistics I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
