A playground for the old Sycamore bus depot: help our neighbors in Tlaquepaque
Volunteers in Tlaquepaque are raising $1,150 for a playground at the old Sycamore bus depot.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 10 volunteers, including local mothers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Sycamore bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $1,150.
It will serve about 528 people, including young people who have nowhere safe to play. We'll hold a build day in September and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $1,150 goes:
• Materials: $890
• Permits and inspections: $35
• Safety equipment and signage: $90
• Tools hire and delivery: $135
