A playground for the old Harmony bus depot: help our neighbors in Dallas
Volunteers in Dallas are raising $4,200 for a playground at the old Harmony bus depot.

For twelve years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 20 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Harmony bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated soil and plants, and the remaining cost is $4,200.
It will serve about 399 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $4,200 goes:
• Materials: $3,450
• Permits and inspections: $200
• Safety equipment and signage: $160
• Tools hire and delivery: $390
