A playground for Acacia Primary School: help our neighbors in A Coruña
A community-led a playground at Acacia Primary School that will serve 478 neighbors.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 30 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated volunteer hours worth about $780, and the remaining cost is $1,400.
It will serve about 478 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in February and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Materials: $760
• Permits and inspections: $290
• Safety equipment and signage: $240
• Tools hire and delivery: $110
