A playground: a volunteer-led effort in Freiburg
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $2,000 for materials.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 28 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the Baobab health centre yard, but no funding.
We have received donated paint, and the remaining cost is $2,000.
It will serve about 477 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
All purchases will be made by two volunteers and logged publicly. Surplus funds will go to maintenance.
Where the $2,000 goes:
• Materials: $1,550
• Safety equipment and signage: $270
• Tools hire and delivery: $180
