A playground: a volunteer-led effort in Bangkok
We have the land, the volunteers and the plan for a playground - we need $800 for materials.

For five years the neighborhood has asked for a playground. This year a group of 18 volunteers, including a retired civil engineer, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Acacia Primary School, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $800.
It will serve about 432 people, including elderly neighbors living alone. We'll hold a build day in January and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $800 goes:
• Materials: $620
• Permits and inspections: $70
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $60
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
