My husband Travis has been accepted for treatment at San Francisco Children's Hospital in San Francisco, starting on Sunday in November. We live 272 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Travis and me. We can contribute $60 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Travis will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Thank you so much.

  • Rooting for you, Maya. Hope you get there. I'm in retail myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Thinking of San Francisco.

    • Wishing Travis a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. All the best.

      • Stay strong, Maya. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Spanish Town this morning. Take care

        • So sorry you're going through this. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of San Francisco.

          • You're not alone. I hope things turn around soon. We're a small family in Los Angeles but we're thinking of you. Thinking of San Francisco

            • Thinking of you, Maya. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

              • Rooting for you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Put this on a community board in Córdoba this morning.
