My father Declan has been accepted for treatment at San Diego Children's Hospital in San Diego, starting on Monday in November. We live 389 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 4 weeks. Two of us would stay: Declan and me. We can contribute $145 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Declan will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • stay strong. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Blessings

    • Get well soon. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best

      • Rooting for you, Eli. Looking forward to the next update. Blessings.

        • You're not alone. Get well soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double

          • Hang in there, Eli. Wishing Declan a smooth procedure and a full recovery.
