My daughter Gül has been accepted for treatment at Bornova Transplant Centre in Bornova, starting on Saturday in September. We live 589 km away in a village four hours away, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Gül and me. We can contribute $35 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Gül will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. Thank you for reading my story.

  • Rooting for you, Murat. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My husband and I read this together. Thinking of Bornova.

    • Get well soon. Love from Rosario.

      • Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 6 people at work. Love from Guarulhos.

          • Hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. After 30 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Sydney

            • Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Johannesburg.
